She got it. Tonight while watching Two and a Half Men (through the time-shifting magic of TiVo) Amy understood the following (approximate) joke spoken by Charlie Sheen’s “Charlie” to John Cryer’s “Alan” when he sees Alan’s unfortunate earring:
[the earring] is fine… if you’re the sort of person who’s about to take Mollie Ringwald to a Wham! concert.
She never gets that kind of joke.

Thank you, thank you. (bow, bow) I’m pretty proud of myself. I mean, connecting a tv show, to a movie, via actors and things… not usually my strong suit.
I feel like I’m in some sort of secret club now or something… :)
