Flickr bugs

Either it’s really buggy over there today or someone with some mad skillz is still really unhappy about the whole “move to Yahoo! sign in” thing.

This morning I noticed every few pictures in my photo stream “belong to someone else.” The titles and descriptions are correct for the pictures of mine that should be there, and clicking through to the photo page shows everything is okay (though Amy just reported this isn’t always true).

For example this is page 4 of my Flickr stream. There are three pictures near the bottom titled “Blackberries,” “Green,” and “Amy takes a picture.” If you click through to their photo pages (as of 8:52 this morning) you’ll see what I’m talking about.

More Flickr forum threads: 1, 2 (official thread), 3, 4,
5

Update from Flickr (9:55am):

Normalcy should be returning. You can Shift + Reload the view of your photostream to force it, but we’re also flushing the system from this end. It seems that one of our caching image servers was polluted during a network outage in the wee hours. I just want to reiterate, the site was not hacked! It was a bum image caching server.

... and a quick Shift+Apple+Reload on my browser shows that they’ve got it fixed. Good response time Flickr.

Update (2/19): Same bug again.
